Working in this fluid process enables us to put creativity first for all the products and services we're working on. Here I talk in a little more detail about the Obox process.

You don't have to install a whole host of plugins for every fresh install of WordPress. You just need those that are going to do the job that you need them to do (apart from Akismet, of course). The list in this blog post is collated from sites I've created over the past 5 years and ones I believe can be of service to you. Check out the list.

We anticipate a big year for WordPress and are making the neccessary moves at Obox to give you the best experience possible.

Yesterday the new version of WordPress was released to the World and in case you are wondering, Obox Themes are ready for the upgrade.

After the jump is a video detailing "Sonny". We have installed it on our demo's and we have to admit it's pretty damn slick. The new UI touches are a welcome upgrade and we especially love the responsive layout!

Today marks the relaunch of your Profile section. For a while now we have been looking at a way to make the Obox Profile section more "sticky" and useful.

With things picking up at Obox our forums are starting to get quite busy.

One of the biggest issues we face is that even though we respond very quickly while we are awake most of you are situated in the USA. This means that there is sometimes a waiting time of 8hrs before you get an answer. We don't find that acceptable and are now on a mission to fix it.

The requirements for the "Support Pro" position:

• Knowledge of WordPress and an understanding of PHP.
• You need to know the concept of CSS - we are very particular about this.
• Your hours are based on American time.
• Ideally you need to be based in the USA.
• Must be willing to work your way around the Obox Framework and all our themes.

Things which we will be looking for:

• Your tone is incredibly important when doing support.
• We are looking for someone who is punctual and able to problem solve quickly.

This is definitely a paying job (will be discussed privately) and you will also gain full access to our theme collection.

Yesterday we sent out a newsletter (you may have got it) and when I woke up this morning and looked in my mail box I got the following message:

I don't know how I got on your mailing list but I'm very happy I am, I think that theme looks GREAT! ~ Rob

Sending out newsletters can be one seriously stressful thing, but getting replies like this is even more surprising!

A few weeks ago Cape Town played host to WordCamp and since Obox is a WP theme company based in South Africa we were invited to talk.

Earlier This week we were busy having lunch at a little place called "Knead" and while we were sipping on our orange juices we spoke about what our next theme should be.

We all agreed that it should be a Portfolio theme and so, as we got back to HQ, we decided to get cracking. We decided to call it the same name as the place we were sipping orange juice and eating burgers.

As good as we believe our themes to be we always felt that their biggest fault was the documentation. I will happily admit that our theme documentation has been terrible for quite some time.

In an effort to fix it we tried different layouts, copy writers and the likes but it just didn't seem to work. We eventually decided to sit down and start from scratch.
