South Atlantic Longline Suppliers

Even though this site is yet to go live we still feel that it deserves a place in our featured portfolio. We consider this site to be the tipping point of our design skills.

Creating sites which use many real world elements is something we really enjoy and from the moment we got this project we wanted to execute a design which stood out from any other fishing site on the web.

We believe it is a success and can't wait to launch this site one day.

Clovelly Country Club

Clovelly is another ongoing project for the Obox Design team.

Having recently gone through a complete redesign we are proud to display this site in our portfolio purely due to the prestige that the Clovelly Country Club has.

The administrative side of the Clovelly site is something which we are particularly happy with. It includes the latest news, scores, competition results, calendars, downloads and much more which allow the Clovelly staff to keep their members up to date on a weekly basis.

Kiek

When Kiek approached us to do their site we were quite excited. We have always wanted to create a site for a retail store. The bonus was that this is one of the most respected furniture retail stores in South Africa.

The aim was to create a simple design which placed an emphasis on the furniture which is displayed in their shop.

For administration we used version 1 of our OCMX-Live program which keeps things simple and easy to manage.

SA Medal Monthly Championship

The first of its kind, The David Frost Signature Series Wine SA Monthly Medal Championship (a.k.a SAMMC) was created by Obox Design to cator for golf players around South Africa who were looking to compete against each other using online methods.

The result is a site which has a powerful competition management system which allocates prizes, notifies winners, emails out signed competition certificates and allows competitors to enter their top scores on a monthly basis.

We Are not Freelancers

We have created many designs in the past which we have been particularly proud of but, even with that in mind, nothing could have prepared us for the exposure that We Are not Freelancers received.

We wanted to break the mould when we created this blog and after following a hunch we decided to create the site using hand drawings. At the time of creating it hand drawn designs were very rare and the end result is a site which has been featured on over 100 popular blogs and galleries across the web.

Peresoft

The Peresoft site is without a doubt one of our best achievements to date.

Besides a clean design, which took many weeks of planning, it is the back end that we are most proud of. Peresoft manages all its sales and support via the website which was all created by Obox Design.

Items such as Forums, invoicing, user pages, download sections and newsletter functions were created in house over a three month period.

This project is always ongoing as Peresoft aim to make their site the best in the accounting realm.

Axcil Jefferies v 2.0

Version two of the Axcil Jefferies was a really fun project. There were no boundaries set for the design except that it had to, in some way, relate to BMW Motorsport.

To achieve this we decided to go with a subtle BMW colour scheme of blue, red and white.

The first site we did for Axcil was when he was very young and still racing in the Junior classes. He has since grown up  and we wanted to showcase that by giving the website a grunge look.

As a result this has been our first 100% grunge design and we feel it is a great success.

Hash One

'Hash One' is the first theme to come out of the Obox Signature Series. This theme is aimed at those who want their personal blog to stand out well above the rest with a unique design which has a subtle, stylish impact on your visitors.

Sticking with the Obox Design style we have implemented all the elements which we have mentioned in our blog and video show. This includes the 'Gina Effect', The Ten Pixel Method, and correct margins & padding.

Along with an awesome design for your Wordpress blog, Hash One also includes video features. The home page will incorporate your five latest videos which uses slick jQuery effects to switch between each show.

Brendan Jack

When Brendan Jack, one of South Africa's most popular comedians and a feature on MTV, contacted us to create his site you can imagine the smile we had on our face. For years we had been watching and laughing at his movies and adverts and now we had a chance to work with the legend.

This site was created from the bottom up using Wordpress as its content management system. This was only second Wordpress site but we are incredibly happy with the outcome of the design and functionality. We believe that the site design covers the style of Jack's work and character and we are proud to have him in our portfolio.

Peresoft TV

With the success of From the Couch, Peresoft.com contacted us to create a video site in order for them to demonstrate the power of their product to the accounting world.

Using the same Content Management System as From the Couch (OCMX - Live) we were able to get this site out of the door quickly and easily.

Peresoft now publishes shows weekly and has received great feedback from its clients and end users who needed quick tips on some of the features in their products.
