Happy New Year :) we hope you had an awesome holiday over December and that you're nicely recharged!
We anticipate a big year for WordPress and are making the neccessary moves at Obox to give you the best experience possible.

In the first 3 months on the year you will see a big push from us regarding eCommerce. The general response to our Woocommerce enabled Clean Cut theme has been really good which means we'll be creating many more eCommerce themes this year.
In the coming weeks we will be launching a brand new video blogging theme called "Azione" which is Italian for Action. It is based on Motion Picture but features a sharper look and a different user experience, we think you'll really like this one.
Say Hello to Vail Joy!

Over the month of December a new member was drafted into the Obox Nation. Her name is Vail Joy and her core focus is forum support. Support was a part of Obox that needed more TLC and we've made sure to find someone who has a large skillset, is patient and friendly. Vail ticks all those boxes and more.
If you are an existing Obox customer you may have seen her around the forums already. I think you'll agree that she is doing an awesome job. Welcome Vail!
Impending Price Increase
With a New Year comes a relook at our company as a whole to see where we can improve and deliver. Unfortunately this sometimes means that we have to increase our pricing as well (we have done this once before when we went from $30 to $50 per theme).
We have made sure that our pricing is still affordable while staying below a lot of our competition:
- Single Pack: $60
- Developer Pack: $120
- Membership: $145 for the once off sign-up fee
By charging a bit more we will be offering you a lot more, so expect extra themes, plugins and functionality. Later this week we will be releasing more details on the changes but we wanted to give you the heads up now as the increases occur on the 1st of Feb 2012.
Investing in Design

One thing we pride ourselves on is the design of our themes. We spend forever on making sure that each pixel belongs where it does, which is also why we release one theme per month - we want to make sure it receives our full attention and looks the part.
With that in mind we have been interacting with a truly talented company called WhiteSpace. They designed the Clean Cut theme and are bursting at the seams with talent. Earlier this month we agreed to sign them up to a contract whereby they will be designing one theme for Obox per month.
Their designer, Adrian, is one of South Africa's best and we believe he can mix it with the worlds finest. We think that his talents lie in creating great products which is why we've gone to great efforts to get himself and Jason onboard at Obox.
Attacking more Verticals
Right now Obox Themes are essentially focussed around the creation of content. If you look at our collection you will see a massive array of great themes suited towards producing content in all kinds of industries.
This year we plan on expanding on that. Along with eCommerce themes you can look forward to us approaching verticals such as management and development. This will start to happen from Q2 of this year and we will make sure that what we release is properly awesome.
