Following our announcement on mag.Press where it became an eCommerce theme powered by WooCommerce, we've continued our theme updates to pack mag.Press with a bit more punch.
The WordPress Customizer
mag.Press is one of our most popular themes, and as promised we've been making sure that our popular themes are updated as quickly as possible to incorporate the new WordPress visual customizer. Some benefits:
- A visual customizer means no more guessing when applying your look & feel.
- Live updates mean no waiting time between color changes.
- You can also use the customizer to upload your own background and logo.
- Best part? No coding knowledge required!
Now include header images
Also part of the update is the inclusion of the WordPress header image uploader. This allows you to add your own banner to the theme in the header thereby giving you the option to make youre site even more unique and distinguishable!
Updated Twitter and Social Widgets
With Twitter's recent API changes we've been proactive in changing our twitter widgets so that they are future proof with Twitter's ongoing usage rules.
We've used a customised version of Rogie's 'Chirp.js'. Chirp.js is a super light-weight piece of javascript to display tweets. We recommend that you checkout the Chirp.js page if you're a developer or would like to use it on your own projects.
As well as updating the Twitter widget, we've also updated our social widget with our very own social icon pack. Released just a few weeks ago, we're constantly updating the pack to contain more and more social icons.
Last but not least, it's fully responsive
We've been planning to do this for a while and having finally had the time to put 100% of our focus into mag.Press we decided that now was the moment to make it responsive. With a new responsive layout mag.Press is quite literally our most flexible theme on Obox.
