Two weekends ago I set aside some time to create a new design for my blog on DavidPerel.net.
The design came from a 'mistake' mid refresh while I was going through the motions of bringing a Fireworks file to life. I decided to follow the path after seeing the potential and eventually landed up with what you see today.
Soon after that I decided that based on the reactions we were getting about the new design that we should see if we could get it included into the Premium Tumblr gallery so that all of you could have access to it.
We were absolutely stoked (happy) when the answer came back and it was a yes!

All my inspiration came from a book called '43rd Publication Design Annual' by SPD. The book features magazine designs including covers, articles, infographics etc. It is gold and inspired everything on this site.
The My Corner theme costs $19 and includes the following features:
- Disqus commenting
- Custom page templates
- Google Analytics integration
- @font-face features
There is huge scope to packing this theme with features and we will most likely revisit it in the future with awesome updates but for now we want you to experience the simplicity of this design.
