Marc has been incredibly busy over the last month working on a complete re-write and feature upgrade of Obox Mobile.
The first iteration of the WordPress Mobile Plugin was all about getting the basics right but we felt it was high time we made a comprehensive upgrade.
New Features
The aim of the new version is focussed around features. We want to give you more control over how your posts and pages display as well as how you control your advertising.
Obox Mobile version 1.5 is a massive leap forward, have a look at some of the new features below.
jQuery Mobile Integration
For Obox Mobile 1.5 we've integrated jQuery Mobile which adds a slick navigation effect to your site as well as improve your site's functionality in app mode.
Faster load times with Plugin Compatibility switches
You will now have the ability to select which plugins you'd like to enable when your site is being viewed on a mobile device. This improves speed and avoids and compatibility issues that may occur between your plugins and Obox Mobile.
Toggle Switches Galor
A massive part of the upgrade is the ability to switch on/off comments, author bio and feature thumbnails for either Posts or Pages.
Post Meta
Turn on/off post meta globally, we've also added switches for post date, author information, categories and tags.
Social Sharing Options
We've added facebook, Twitter and Google+ buttons to Obox Mobile, these can be toggled on/off individually, or all together.
New Advert Manager
We have added new advert areas to the header, footer and post pages. We've also upgraded the advert section under the OCMX Options which includes a new layout and display restriction switches.
