Almost three years to the day, we teamed up with Posterous to design a set of themes for its service.
Since that day, Posterous went on to grow a large community of writers and authors each using a theme. One of the themes which we created for Posterous, 'Dark Matter', was one of the most used themes on their platform.
We're incredibly proud of this as we've been huge fans of Posterous over the years.
Since then things have changed at Posterous. The team ended up joining Twitter and very recently announced the service would be shutting down.
As original theme designers for the Posterous service we feel almost emotionally obligated to Posterous' users who have been using the themes which we designed for years. For three years you have been creating memories through your own content and it was our designs which presented that content.
We don't want to see those memories go away when Posterous finally hits the 'off' switch in April.
That's why we've spoken with the team at Posterous and we're proud to announce that we've ported the theme designs we created for them over to WordPress and are providing a super-easy step-by-step tutorial for exporting Posterous users' content and importing it into a WordPress installation with the choice of Obox designed themes which they had available on Posterous.
We're doing this because we don't want to see the past three years go to waste, we're doing this because we care.
